We normally despatch orders on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. This is to avoid any issues with deliveries delayed for any reason beyond our control not reaching customers before the weekend. This means that, depending on when your order is placed and the current volume of orders, you will receive your order in the week it is placed or the following week. Our standard delivery method is by 24 hour courier (occasionally, depending on time of collection, it might be 48 hours). Smaller orders may be sent by first class Royal Mail. Please note that the term ‘24 hour’ refers to the time taken from despatch to delivery, not from the date of order. The cost of delivery is automatically calculated for your order on a sliding scale determined by weight. Please note that this applies to mainland UK addresses only. We do not deliver outside the UK.

A signature is not necessarily required when delivery is made by the courier. The courier will generally 'leave safe' a package if we ask them to do so when we book collection. Please ensure, when placing your order, that you indicate where the package may be left if no-one is in to receive it.

Some addresses in Scotland are categorised by the couriers as Highlands & Islands, which may mean a higher cost for the service (usually an additional £3 or £4) and / or a longer delivery timescale (2 or sometimes 3 days). Where this is the case, we will contact you in advance of despatching your order.

If you live in Northern Ireland, we will use ParcelForce (Royal Mail first class for very small orders) and will contact you regarding the cost of this.

On placing your order, you will receive an automated email confirming that it has been received. We will later send a follow up email confirming delivery date and details. We will also send you an e-mail when your package has been collected, so you can know when to expect it. We check the tracking on all orders and will send you an email to confirm delivery.

Remember that we may have to cut back plants in order to package them securely and safely, especially during the summer when they are in full growth. They will of course grow back, but this can mean at least temporary loss of flowering stems on taller plants.

If you live in the Southampton area, we can deliver your plants using our own transport. If you live within 5 miles of SO16 8AL, we will do that free of charge, provided you order at least £20 worth of plants. Outside that radius, we will deliver at cost, so contact us and we will tell you how much it will be to deliver to your address.

You can choose to collect your plants from the nursery if you live locally. Collection can also be arranged at shows or markets we attend. See Events for details.
