ORDERING AND PAYMENT
Ordering your plants online from us is designed to be straightforward. Browse the catalogue using the categories under Our Plants; alternatively, search for a particular plant or type, eg evergreen, using the search box.
Add a plant to your shopping cart by clicking on Add to Shopping Basket. That will put one plant in your cart: the best way to add more is to click on Cart or the shopping basket icon and change the number of items in your basket when taken there. If a plant is out of stock or not ready yet, you won't be able to add it to your shopping basket, but there is a link for you to contact us about availability. To remove a plant from your basket, click on the bin icon.
When you have finished shopping, click on Checkout. That will take you to a page where you can confirm your order and payment details. You will be taken through the process step by step. You can create an account or log in to an existing account as part of this procedure, or you can check out as a guest. Remember we will not share your address or other details with anyone else.
You have a choice of three delivery options: 24 hour courier (for which the cost is automatically calculated), local delivery by our own transport (which is free by default but chargeable above a 5 mile radius - we will contact you to confirm the cost), and collection from the nursery (which is, of course, free!). If you choose local delivery or collection, you will be able to opt to pay on delivery.
Payment can be made by card payment or by cheque: just follow the on-screen instructions in either case. Please note that, if you pay by cheque, we will not send out your order until your cheque has cleared, so it will take a little longer if you pay this way.
Payment by card can be made in one of two ways. You can enter your card details directly on the page in the boxes provided, in which case the payment is processed by Stripe, or you can click on the option to have the payment processed by PayPal.
If you are using a mobile phone or tablet e.g. iPad to order, you may find that the option to pay by card without signing in to PayPal has been removed. To restore it, tap the little menu icon at the top right of your screen (three dots arranged vertically) and check the box Request Desktop Site. The page will reload and the option to use guest checkout and pay by card will be restored. It's a PayPal thing, not of our doing! As this will change the way the page is rendered, making font smaller, it is best to do this only when you reach the point of making payment.
Please note that we send plants to mainland UK addresses only. We do not deliver outside the UK.
If you are collecting from us or we are delivering to you by our van, you can pay with cash, by cheque or by debit card.If you have any problems using our online shop, do please get in touch with us by e-mail or telephone.
If you prefer to place your order by telephone, you can do so and we can arrange payment by card.
