A very handsome evergreen statement plant which sports a rosette of strappy toothed (and admittedly quite prickly!)leaves, rather yucca-like in appearance, but its crowning glory is the array of tall branching stems covered in greenish white marble-sized flowers that start to arise in early summer. People are often surprised to find out that this rather exotic looking specimen is in fact bone hardy. Doesn't seem to mind winter wet either.
Little maintenance required other than to cut down the flowering stems once they have finished.
