Agapanthus like quite rich soil, so if you can provide that, they will be happy. They also quite like having their roots constrained, so they do very well indeed in pots and tubs. Which is nice.
We find that Midnight Star is very good at flowering from a young age and will increase its number of flowering stems year on year as the plant settles in and gets larger.
