A sport of the popular Pink Delight, this beauty, like its cousin, produces a succession of long lasting fully double flowers on a well branched plant. In this case the colour scheme is clear white with a touch of lime green at the centres. A lovely thing indeed. Sun or semi-shade. Well drained soil. 18 to 24 in. 2 litre pot.

White Double Delight is one of a series of echinacea varieties that has been lumbered with the rather ghastly name of 'Cone-fections'. Now that's a marketing professional that's come up with that, not a horticulturalist. The series also includes the lovely Marmalade as well as the original Pink Double Delight.
The Dutch breeder Arie Blom is one of the big names in recent echinacea development, starting to hybridise these plants back in 2002. We think Pink Double Delight was the first echinacea hybrid he brought to market, with the white version being much more recent.
We always assumed the Dutch nursery AB Cultivars was where Arie Blom plied his trade (AB, Arie Blom, and the key Echinacea hybrids are listed in their catalogue) but he is not mentioned in the 'About' section of the website, so now we are feeling rather confused about the whole thing!
Echinacea White Double Delight is a hardy perennial with white double flowers with greenish white cones from summer into autumn suitable for sun or semi-shade.
