Ordering & payment
Ordering your plants online from us is designed to be straightforward. Browse the catalogue using the categories under Our Plants; alternatively, search for a particular plant or type, eg evergreen, using the search box (at the top right).
Add a plant to your shopping cart by clicking Add to Basket. That will put one plant in your cart: to add more than one, use the select quantity box above the button. You can also change the number of items in your basket when taken there. If a plant is out of stock or not ready yet, you won't be able to add it to your shopping basket, but there is a form for you to contact us about availability. To remove a plant from your basket, click on the x to the left of the plant name.
When you have finished shopping, click on the cart icon (top right on desktop or laptop, bottom centre on mobile) to go to your basket. When you are sure you have all the plants you want (you can edit quantities in your basket on this page) click on Checkout. That will take you to a page where you can confirm your order and payment details. You will be taken through the process step by step. You can create an account or log in to an existing account as part of this procedure, or you can check out as a guest without logging in. Remember we will not share your address or other details with anyone else.
You have a choice of three delivery options: 24 hour courier (for which the cost is automatically calculated), local delivery by our own transport (which is free by default but chargeable above a 5 mile radius - we will contact you to confirm the cost), and collection from the nursery (which is, of course, free!).
There is a box for details of safe place (courier delivery) or other notes (eg date for collection or delivery) which needs to be completed before you can advance further in the checkout process.
Payment by card can be made in one of two ways. You can enter your card details directly on the page in the box provided, in which case the payment is processed by Stripe, or you can click on the option to have the payment processed by PayPal using a debit card or your PayPal account. Both procedures are secure and encrypted to protect your details, to which we have no access.
If you want to pay for your purchases by cheque or pay when collecting plants from the nursery or by local delivery, you should send us your list of plants required using the contact form (or direct email) or by telephone. If you are collecting from us or we are delivering to you by our van, you can pay with cash, by cheque or by debit card.
Please note that we send plants to mainland UK addresses only. We do not deliver outside the UK.
