SUMMERINA (ECHIBECKIA) ORANGE

SUMMERINA (ECHIBECKIA) ORANGE

from 5.00

SORRY, CURRENTLY SOLD OUT. Summerina Orange is one of a series of new intergenetic crosses between Rudbeckia and Echinacea which will flower relentlessly (for around three months) once they get going in mid summer, with each 3 inch rusty orange bloom lasting for weeks with no real need to dead head. Summerina Orange and its friends are really interesting introductions and we like them a lot. Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. 2 to 3 feet. 1 litre or 2 litre pot.

We first grew Summerina Orange in 2014, which was ,we think, the first year they had been available on the UK market. Once they started flowering - and they don’t take long to get to that stage - we took some to shows and they did the old hot cakes trick.

The following short video provides a good introduction to Summerina Orange.

Echibeckia Summerina Orange is a hardy perennial plant with toothed leaves and large orange flowers from early summer to autumn suitable for sun or semi-shade.
