5.00

Campanula Pink Octopus is perhaps one the stranger plants, both in name and appearance, that you can have in your garden, but certainly a talking point. You can expect the vigorous  basal rosette of slightly toothed leaves and, over a long period in summer, extraordinary rosy pink flowers which leave you in no doubt about the octopus bit of the name. Sun or semi-shade. Well drained soil. 18 in. 1 litre pot.

An oddity, but with a rare beauty about it!

Pink Octopus seems to flower pretty much continuously throughout the summer season and beyond, so very good value.

Campanula Punctata, of which Pink Octopus is a variation, is a variety of bellflower native to Siberia and Japan, two rather contrasting habitats, so it is is pretty versatile plant that wil cope with a range of planting situations without complaint. There a quite a number of recent introductions based on this species, of which Pantaloons and Cherry Bells are popular examples.

Campanula Pink Octopus is a hardy perennial plant with toothed leaves and drooping pink deeply cut spidery flowers in summer suitable for sun or semi-shade.
