We love the colour tones of this beauty, making Flamenco a very distinctive delphinium indeed.

Just cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush and to ground level in late autumn.

The Latin name Delphinium is derived from the Greek Delphinion, which described the plant larkspur, derived in turn from the Greek word for dolphin, to which they clearly thought the nectary bore a strong resemblance.

As for Flamenco, well, we all know what that means, don't we? Or do we? It all turns out to be very confusing. See what Wikipedia makes of it.

Delphinium Highlander Flamenco is a tall hardy perennial plant with spires of frilled triple dusky pink flowers in summer suitable for full sun.
