Our last dog Paddy managed to kill a young Drimys we were growing along our boundary by bouncing on it. Moral - grow out of reach of French Briards!

Other than that, just keep trimmed to the size you want it to be, and admire regularly.

Another victim of the name-changing pandemic: Drimys is now officially classified as Tasmannia, but as usual we are reluctant to yield to the pressure.
