FUCHSIA DELTA'S SARAH

FUCHSIA DELTA'S SARAH

5.50

AVAILABLE 2019. Fuchsias are lovely things, but many are not hardy in British winters. The charming Delta’s Sarah is (hurrah!) and will do her thing from summer into autumn. More specifically, she will bear masses of large dangling flowers with white sepals and deep violet blue petals that fade to purplish maroon. Now is that nice or is that nice? Sun or semi-shade. Any reasonable soil. To 3 feet. 2 litre pot.

This variety was introduced in 2002 by the Dutch hybridiser Vreek-van't westeinde, and there are a number of other fuchsias in the Delta series from the same source.

Care is straightforward, with a little light pruning as required during the season and a hard pruning in early spring being all that is required.

This video clip provides a short close-up view of the flowers on a rather lush Delta's Sarah grown as hanging basket specimen.

Fuchsia Delta’s Sarah is a hardy shrub with glossy leaves and large hanging violet blue and white flowers in summer and autumn suitable for sun or semi-shade.
